Website to Broadcast Annual Meeting Worship Services

CHICAGO, IL (June 16, 2008) – Those unable to attend this year’s Evangelical Covenant Church Annual Meeting June 24-26 in Green Lake, Wisconsin, will be able to participate in the five worship services through live broadcasts via the Covenant website.

Live broadcastingCovenant Communications will broadcast the Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evening services, as well as the Wednesday and Thursday morning services on the Covenant website at www.covchurch.org. The evening services begin at 7 p.m. CDT. The Wednesday morning service begins at 8:30 a.m. CDT, while the Thursday morning service begins at 8 a.m. CDT.

Participation in the live broadcasts has grown each year, especially the traditional ordination worship service, which will take place Thursday, June 26, and formally conclude this year’s annual meeting activities. The accompanying photo shows Joshua Havens, Covenant Communications’ Media Center director, setting up the live broadcasting equipment backstage in preparation for the 2006 Annual Meeting in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He will again be broadcasting this year’s Annual Meeting from inside the large convention tent being erected to house worship services and business sessions at the Green Lake camp.

The Annual Meeting section of the Covenant website has a complete schedule of services as well as full details on how to tune into the live broadcasts, including access to free QuickTime Player software if needed. It is recommended that those planning on tuning in visit the website in advance in the event a software download is needed.
