Lindstrom was born December 4, 1923, in East Orange, New Jersey. He married his wife, Carol, in 1949.
Lindstrom earned his bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from General Motors Institute in Flint, Michigan, and helped design the layout of the company’s Kansas City, Kansas, Fairfax plant. He was granted eight patents for his engineering designs. He subsequently earned his master’s degree from North Park Theological Seminary.
He served several Covenant churches in Kansas: Alert/Leonardville, Clay Center, Manhattan, Wichita, Axtell, and Marquette. In addition, he served in Wausa, Nebraska. Lindstrom frequently served as a bi-vocational pastor.
In addition to Carol, Ed is survived by two daughters, Sharon Ensz and Ruth-Ann Abdel-Sayed; and five sons, Mark Lindstrom, Paul Lindstrom, Peter Lindstrom, David Lindstrom, and John Lindstrom; and 12 grandchildren.
