CHICAGO, IL (March 18, 2008) – Covenant Trust Company is seeking a highly qualified individual for the position of senior trust administrator.

Covenant Trust Company currently manages in excess of $400 million in fiduciary assets for individuals and ministries of the Evangelical Covenant Church, offering comprehensive asset management and charitable gift planning services.

Primary responsibilities of this position include account setup, maintenance and closure; compliance and control; client contact; and estate settlement trust tax preparation. Emphasis is on trust administration, although some investment knowledge is required.

Duties of the senior trust administrator include:
•    Interact daily with clients, legal counsel, executors, beneficiaries and Covenant Trust Company staff, to ensure accurate, efficient and timely handling of account maintenance activities
•    Interpret client trust agreements and review new documents prior to account acceptance
•    Establish and monitor trust administration activities to ensure contract compliance, legal and regulatory compliance, and compliance with corporate policies and procedures
•    Coordinate the review and preparation of all tax information for managed accounts
•    Coordinate with executors and representatives to handle the filing of wills, payment of expenses, and the final distribution of assets from the accounts of deceased trust holders

This position is part of the Administration Committee and represents the committee in various meetings and helps develop and review corporate and departmental policies and procedures.

The successful candidate will possess a solid knowledge of personal trust administration, the ability to work independently and with others, and will demonstrate leadership skills and a desire to actively engage in continuing education.

Qualifications include three to five years of experience in personal trust administration, a bachelor’s degree (business preferred), proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, and excellent interpersonal skills. Desired qualifications include ABA National Graduate Trust School, CTFA, CFP, or JD.
