CHICAGO, IL (March 3, 2008) – Jo Wolfe of South Lake Stevens, Washington, has been named chair of the Triennial XIII Planning Committee, which is beginning preparations for the next Women Ministries event to take place in 2010 in Washington, D.C.

The application deadline for serving on the planning committee has been extended to March 14, says Ruth Hill, executive minister of Women Ministries of the Evangelical Covenant Church. Applications to serve on the planning committee can be found at the Triennial XIII website.

The Board of Women Ministries confirmed Wolfe’s appointment during its recent meeting. She attends First Covenant Church in Everett and has promoted women ministries throughout the North Pacific Conference.

“We connected at the July Annual Meeting in Portland,” Hill said. “I was delighted to learn she felt called to serve in this way. It was coming together so easily that we agreed to devote time in prayer for God’s confirmation. We both reached a point where we believe she is indeed the one God is providing for this all-important role.”

The conference will be held June 22-25 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel.
