CAROL STREAM, IL (January 23, 2008) – An international accrediting body has awarded its highest level of accreditation to Windsor Park Manor, an Evangelical Covenant Church retirement community.

The CARF-CCAC awarded Windsor Park a five-year term accreditation. The process included peer review and an on-site survey.

The Continuing Care Accreditation Commission (CCAC) was founded in 1985 as the nation’s only accrediting body for continuing-care retirement communities and similar organizations. In January 2003, CCAC merged with the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF), a nonprofit accrediting agency founded in 1966 to work with a wide range of human service organizations affecting six million people.

Windsor Park includes residential retirement, catered living, assisted living, rehabilitative services and skilled nursing. It is one of 14 communities nationwide administered by Covenant Retirement Communities (CRC) on behalf of the Board of Benevolence of the Evangelical Covenant Church.
