CHICAGO, IL (January 2, 2008) – Due to the large number of requests received by Covenant News Service and television station WTTW Channel 11 in Chicago, the station has posted a special link to the recently aired program on the artwork of Warner Sallman, best known for his painting “Head of Christ.”

The program, which was filmed at the Billy Graham Center on the campus of Wheaton College, was originally scheduled for airing on December 20. However, it was broadcast a day earlier due to station programming changes, making advance notification impossible to readers of this online news report.

“There was considerable disappointment expressed in email messages we received,” notes Don Meyer, executive minister of the Department of Communication of the Evangelical Covenant Church. The news division of Covenant Communications produces the daily online news report.

“WTTW appreciated the keen interest in Sallman, given his Covenant roots, and worked with their staff to pull the Sallman video segment from the December 19 Chicago Tonight program and post it online,” Meyer says. “We very much appreciate all of the station’s effort to make the program available to the wider Covenant audience.”
