Dear Sandra and Family,

Please accept my deepest personal sympathy at Pastor Mosby’s passing.  I grieve with you: I will miss him greatly.  Jerry was a gifted, faithful pastor, a man of vision and strength.  He was a superb preacher and a skilled leader.  He led Fellowship from the last handful of Immanuel Covenant Church members to a large, strong, vibrant congregation.  The church’s outreach – and his own – extended the love of Christ to your neighbors and your community in countless ways.  In all that, Sandra, you have shared as his partner at home and in ministry.

During the past year he and you faced serious threats to his physical health.  His grace-filled courage through that very difficult time was a testimony to the power and faithfulness of our Lord.  Now he is whole and strong, and he lives in the presence of almighty God.  “And God himself will be with them; he will wipe every tear from their eyes.  Death will be no more; mourning and crying and pain will be no more, for the first things have passed away” (Revelation 21:3b-4).

My prayers will remain with you all as you grieve your very personal loss and begin to find healing.  May our God be especially close to you now in these days, supplying you with all that you need in each day.  May he guide and strengthen you, and grant you comfort in his own unfailing love and power.

In Christ,

Glenn R. Palmberg
President
Evangelical Covenant Church
