Covenanters Unharmed in Chilean Earthquake

SANTIAGO, CHILE (November 16, 2007) – No members of Covenant Churches were injured in the 7.5 magnitude earthquake that shook the country on Wednesday, says David Mark, Department of World Mission regional coordinator for Latin America.

Covenant churches are located more than 800 miles south of the epicenter in northern Chile and sustained no damage, Marcus Sobarzo, president of the Chilean Covenant Church, told Mark. Covenant churches are located south of Santiago.
