Kevin Leman to Speak During North Park Homecoming

CHICAGO, IL (July 10, 2007) – North Park University alumnus Dr. Kevin Leman will speak at the Homecoming chapel service at 10 a.m. September 30.

LemanLeman is an internationally known Christian psychologist and the author of 30 books, including The Birth Order Book, Making Children Mind without Losing Yours, and Becoming the Parent God Wants You to Be. He has been featured on the three network morning news programs as well as major television talk shows, including Oprah, Live with Regis, and The View.

Homecoming festivities begin at 7 p.m. September 27 with a rally in the gymnasium.
The Second Annual River Run will start at 10:30 a.m. on September 29, with a youth race starting at 11:30 a.m. Nearly 4,000 people are expected to run, says Rick Yngve, director of alumni. Roughly 2,500 runners participated last year.

The annual banquet will be held at 7 p.m. September 29. The Distinguished Alumna Award will be presented to Claudia Freed, a member of the class of 1985. The Up & Coming Young Alumnus Award will be presented to Mike Wickham, of the class of 1997, who was featured in a March Covenant News Service online article.
