PORTLAND, OR (June 26, 2007) – Given the large volume of news stories originating out of the 122nd Annual Meeting of the Evangelical Covenant Church, stories can remain only for a limited time in the regular online news report on the home page of the Covenant website.

During each day, stories are moved to the regular Annual Meeting area of the website – that link will be found on the Covenant website home page. All content – stories, photographs, video segments, and copies of evening worship service broadcasts – will remain permanently archived on the website.

TeamA seven-member Covenant Communications team was on hand throughout the four-day meeting providing daily news coverage, taking photos, operating the online Covenant Bookstore resourcing area, and live broadcasting the evening services.

“This year’s online news coverage was the most comprehensive to date,” said Don Meyer, executive director and editor of Communications operations. A new feature was introduced this year – video segments of key presentations and awards – with links to the videos embedded in individual stories.

Stories were written and posted throughout each day, available on the Covenant website within a few minutes of a given decision or presentation during the business sessions on Friday and Saturday.

Other members of the team included Dave Westerfield, photography; Steve Velez Luce, creative director handling photo processing; Joshua Havens, live broadcasting; and Tim Mosbo, bookstore manager. Greg Neumarke of the Covenant technology department handled installation and maintenance of all the on-site technical equipment, while Heidi Griepp, Internet Services manager, created gallery photo pages from the Chicago offices.

Staff will continue to process various stories, photos, and video elements this coming week and post additional material and resources to the Covenant website.
