CHICAGO, IL (April 20, 2007) – A new resource has been added to the list of online ministry information on the Evangelical Covenant Church website that provides snapshot updates of various ministries on a quarterly basis.

The President’s Newsletter, which in the past has been distributed by mail to various local church, conference, and denominational leaders, is now available to the much wider online audience as an additional means of learning how God is working through Covenant ministries.

In the April 2007 issue now online, President Glenn Palmberg speaks of the rich history of compassion and justice initiatives that are part of the fabric of Covenant ministry. Christian Formation Executive Minister Doreen Olson previews the new Covenant Affirmations curriculum for use in local congregations, while Ruth Hill, executive minister of Women Ministries, provides a progress report on plans for Triennial XII coming to Chicago in August.

Executive Vice President Donn Engebretson reflects on the closing of Covenant Bible College after decades of dedicated ministry to many thousands of students, while Don Meyer, executive minister of Covenant Communications, shares highlights of the upcoming June Annual Meeting in Portland, Oregon.

Check out the April 2007 President’s Newsletter for these highlights and many more from other ministry areas. And watch for other newsletters to appear throughout the remainder of the year.
