ROCHESTER, MN (April 11, 2007) – Is your church in need of a seasoned pulpit and baptismal font?

PulpitFontRochester Covenant Church has what you need and is interested in donating these items for a worthy purpose (see accompanying photos).

The pulpit is constructed of oak with a fruitwood-type stain finish, says Rosella Kvernen, speaking on behalf of the church. “Its symbolism depicts massive hands holding up the Word of God,” she notes.

The baptismal font has a lighter-color stained base and top and wrought iron legs.

“Both items are free if you will pick them up,” Kvernen says. Interested churches should call 507-289-2990 no later than April 30 – after that time, other plans will be made for disposition of the items.

EDITOR’S POST-UPDATE: As of May 1, 2007, both of the above items had found new homes.
