Peterson, Thorpe Return Home Safely

CHICAGO, IL (March 25, 2007) – Covenanters Dr. Roger Thorpe and Curt Peterson arrived in Chicago this afternoon following several harrowing days in the midst of military conflict in the capital city of Kinshasa.

Welcome at O'Hare InternationalTheir flight touched down at O’Hare International Airport around 2:05 p.m., a Covenant World Mission staff member advises.

Thorpe, a retired Evangelical Covenant Church medical missionary who served in Congo years ago, and Peterson, executive minister of the Department of World Mission, had been in Kinshasa for an all-pastors meeting in partnership with the Covenant church of Congo.
