CHICAGO, IL (March 7, 2007) – Rollin Persson has been called by National Covenant Properties (NCP) to provide real estate services on behalf of the denomination in the western half of the United States and Canada.

Persson will assume his new duties with the technical services unit on March 23, covering the area served by Stephen R. Dawson, who will become the new president of National Covenant Properties when current President David Johnson retires later this year.

Persson“Rollin comes to this position with tremendous gifts and experience,” says Dawson. For the last 10 years, Persson has been an administrator with GMAC-RFC, one of the largest mortgage firms in the nation. He also has 14 years of bank lending experience.

Persson will assist congregations in land acquisition, facility planning, and preparing for the loan application process with NCP. Robert M. Hall III serves the real estate needs in the eastern portion of the Covenant.

“I’m excited for the opportunity to work for the Covenant,” says Persson. “This is a dream come true. I’ve always wanted to work for the Covenant, but I never saw how there would be an opportunity.”

Persson is a lifelong Covenanter and the son of Jim Persson, former executive director of the Department of Church Growth and Evangelism. He is a 1983 graduate of North Park University and has served on the Covenant Development Corporation board of directors for the last eight years, helping provide oversight to complex church real estate matters.

He also has served in many leadership positions within his local church. He currently attends Bloomington Covenant Church in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Persson joins the staff as the technical services unit relocates from the Department of Church Growth and Evangelism to come under the NCP umbrella.
