NEWPORT, OR (February 20, 2007) – The Well Covenant Church in Corvallis will conduct its first meeting in Newport to explore planting a church on the state’s coast.

The first meeting will be from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on March 5. The congregation’s pastor, Bernd Strom, and Don Robinson, associate superintendent and director of church planting of the North Pacific Conference, will represent the Evangelical Covenant Church.

The Well is a church plant that was formed in April 2005. Strom says 10 people are needed for the March meeting to be successful.

A light dessert will be served. For more information, contact the church at 541-231 – 6021.
