PUNE, INDIA (February 5, 2007) – Covenant World Relief dollars continue to be hard at work more than two years following the December 2004 tsunami. Following are some of the images from that work, collected during a recent “accountability tour” by Jim Sundholm and Elliott Johnson that took them to Sri Lanka, various parts of India, and the Andaman Islands.
These metal buildings have served as temporary housing for many of the people displaced by the December 2004 tsunami.
Another example of the kinds of new homes being provided through Covenant World Relief’s efforts with partners in India, Sri Lanka and the Andaman Islands.
Workers construct new houses that will eventually become home to many displaced families, thanks to the good work of Covenant World Relief dollars and the work of CWR’s partners.
