CHICAGO, IL (June 20, 2006) – Leaders of the Executive Board of the Evangelical Covenant Church and the Covenant Ministerium were elected by their respective bodies during the 121st Annual Meeting that concluded this past weekend in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
The Executive Board elected Darrell Griffin, pastor of Oakdale Covenant Church, to be its chairperson for a two-year term. He was elected to the board in 2004 and his term will expire in 2010. The accompanying photo shows Griffin with Catherine Gilliard, who served as chair and completed her term on the board this year.
The Covenant Ministerium elected Heidi Wiebe to succeed outgoing President Brad Boydston. Wiebe is pastor of the Evangelical Covenant Church in Oberlin, Kansas. John Marks was elected treasurer. He is pastor of Trinity Covenant Church in Livingston, New Jersey.
