WESTMINSTER, CO (March 23, 2006) – The Covenant Retirement Community of Colorado celebrated its 10th anniversary over the weekend.

The weekend featured a special buffet that 250 residents attended and were seated according to the year they arrived, a dessert reception for the community followed by worship service.

“It was a great celebration,” says Karen Johnson, director of administrative services.

The worship service was divided into three parts – “remembering our past,” “remembering our present,” and “remembering our future.” One of the community’s first residents, John Tomlinson, gave a reflection on the past. Campus administrator Bill Lange shared thoughts on the present, and CRC President Rick Fisk focused on the future.

Midwest Conference Superintendent Ken Carlson and Associate Superintendent Rick Mylander also participated in the service. About 350 people from the residence and community attended the service, Johnson says.

The facility is home to 410 residents, including people living in the assisted care and skilled nursing housing.
