Eligibility: The Phoebe Church Planters Grant is offered to a female church planter who is currently involved in full-time church planting ministry and in good standing with the Covenant Ministerium.
Application: Deadline for applications is May 1\. The grant is offered bi-annually in even numbered years. Applications will be reviewed by the ACCW Award Selection Team, which includes members of the ACCW Board, a member of the Commission for Biblical Gender Equality, and a member of the Covenant Ministerium board.
Notification of Award: The grant recipient should be notified in June. It is expected that the recipient will attend the ACCW business meeting in June if possible, or a Midwinter Conference, if possible.
Recognition and Distribution: Recipient will receive the award as part of the ACCW meeting during the Evangelical Covenant Church Annual Meeting in June.
Requirements: A completed ACCW Phoebe Church Planters Grant application form (available from conference offices), a written confirmation from Department of Church Growth and Evangelism (Church Planting) confirming that the individual is a full-time church planter and in good standing with the Covenant Ministerium, a formal grant request including a vision for use of the grant, a description of the mission of the individual’s ministry to which the grant will be applied – including ways in which the individual already has planned for beginning or maintaining that particular ministry, a description of the way in which the grant will aid the individual in the church planting ministry, and a brief biographical sketch including the individual’s call to church planting.
Award: $1,000 grant paid directly to the church, a one-year membership in ACCW, and a one-year paid subscription to The Covenant Companion or Covenant Home Altar (recipient’s choice).
