PRINCETON, IL (February 16, 2006) – Members of the Evangelical Covenant Church here are making commitments to pray daily for one another from March 1 until August 1.

Each person will sign a commitment registry, agreeing to pray for one other member of the congregation, and then will be assigned the name of an individual for whom they are to pray after the registration is completed. That person will not know who is praying for them until after August 1. At the end of the time, participants will gather to share their stories.

The initiative came from the church’s Prayer Commission as one way of further developing the congregation’s prayer life.
