CHICAGO, IL (February 1, 2006) – The recently acclaimed performance of “Trilogy of Dreams,” written by Rollo Dilworth, North Park University associate professor of music and director of the school’s Gospel Choir, will be telecast throughout the South and Midwest on Saturday evening.

Dilworth was commissioned to write the trilogy for the Boston Children’s Chorus, which he also directed as part of that city’s “Raising the Roof: Celebrating Martin Luther King, Jr. in Song” on January 16.

Superstation WGN will telecast the program beginning at 7 p.m. Central Standard Time. Robin Roberts of ABC’s Good Morning America hosted the event. (Check local listings for cable channel and local telecast time.) The premiere performance earned Dilworth and the chorus a standing ovation from the audience, which included some of the state’s top dignitaries.

“It was exciting,” says Dilworth. “I’ve done a lot of public performances in the last 20 years, and this was one of the highlights.” The music was based on three Langston Hughes poems: “The Dreamkeeper,” “Dreams,” and “I Dream a World.”
