I think my age bracket (old) has a difficult time feeling cozy warm feelings from modern technology.  I know that there is probably no better way to convey information quickly, succinctly and to a wide audience other than entering the amazing world of Facebook, Twitter or….dare I say, this Blog?  I know you can poke people…and send these goofy smiley faces.  But really, is there any substitute for a face to face or a long, warm hug?  Can modern technology touch the heart?  Truthfully, when the prayer call goes out, nothing can beat the email that comes immediately into your inbox that drops you to your knees in prayer (or sends your fingers typing a prayer back).  I just watched the movie, “Social Connection” last month and it made me depressed for two days.  Well, probably not depressed but saddened that so much of modern communication is shallow and all about numbers of “friends”.    Well, this is my first real blog.  I’m going to give this a go for a month or so and see if this can become part of my communication with all of you out there.  I know it’s not a substitute for a “face to face” over coffee (and a donut) but I will try to share my thoughts and feelings and “touch” you in the best way I can through this technology….
