In November, Mary Cervantes and I had the opportunity to travel to Tecate, Baja California to train the MAEM (Ministering to teh Abused and Exploited in Mexico) leaders in the second part of Mending the Soul. This is part of the continuing education process that equips Christian facilitators to become advocates in their churches and communities. The leaders who attended the training are part of a newly formed District of the Covenant Church of Mexico and have been participating in family counseling training with CHET. Many are already working in family ministry within their churches and communities.
