CHICAGO, IL (August 15, 2012) – Plans to broadcast a live interview from the Democratic Republic of Congo later today had to be scrapped due to logistical incompatibilities in accessing an adequate Internet connection in Gemena.

The interview was to have included leaders from the Congo Covenant Church and the Evangelical Covenant Church (ECC) in North America as festivities surrounding the 75th anniversary of Covenant ministry in Congo draw to a close.

If efforts to address the logistical and technical difficulties are successful and the live broadcast is rescheduled, Covenant News Service will provide updated details.

A different live broadcast involving some members of the ECC delegation, to take place following their return from Congo, is scheduled for 10 a.m. CDT on Wednesday, August 29. That broadcast will be carried on the ECC website, similar to live broadcasts of other major Covenant events like Annual Meeting and Midwinter. To log into the broadcast, visit the Covenant website home page and follow the instructions.

The 75th anniversary celebration began on Sunday. Click here to read a report on celebration activities written by Stan Friedman, who is traveling with the ECC delegation.
