Liz VerHage, chair of the Christian Action Commission, presented the resolutions. She said the resolutions, which are non-binding, were important because they show the will of the Annual Meeting, the denomination’s highest governing body.
Resolutions are prepared and reviewed over a two-year period to give time for the denomination to give deeper consideration to each.
VerHage asked attendees to use the online comment form to share ideas, resource suggestions, experience, and what they have learned while working through the discussion guide together. The deadline for feedback is November 1 this year.
Delegates also approved a Resolution on Domestic Violence, which was presented to delegates at last year’s Annual Meeting for reflection and response.

Thanks for covering this part of the work of the CAC. We are encouraged by people’s thoughts and feedback, that we received at the Annual Mtng and look forward to receiving more input on the Stewardship and Generosity Resolution online in the next few months.
