North Park alumni Dr. G. Timothy Johnson and David S. Helwig are co-chairing the campaign.
Following a “quiet phase” to build awareness and support, Campaign North Park will publicly launch on June 4. A new campaign website provides a comprehensive introduction to the campaign’s major fund-raising goals:
- $42 million for a new Science and Community Life building
- $8 million for the annual fund
- $6 million for scholarships
- $1 million for Chicago initiatives and enrichment
Visitors to the Campaign North Park website can explore preliminary interactive floor plans for the proposed 90,000-square-foot building to be located in the university’s central campus area. The new facility will offer state-of-the-art science labs plus high-tech classrooms, seminar and conference rooms, co-curricular program facilities, and space for dining and social interaction.
“Over the past four months we’ve been hosting momentum-building donor events across the country and engaging our campus community in partnership with this important effort,” says university president Dr. David Parkyn. “We’re now ready to speak more publicly about the campaign and the increased scope of our fund-raising.”
Website visitors also can make secure online donations to Campaign North Park or contact North Park gift officers for additional information.
