CHICAGO, IL (February 3, 2011) – Offices of the Evangelical Covenant Church are closed today due to heavy snow and high wind that swept through the greater Chicago Tuesday evening and for most of the day Wednesday.

Hundreds of flights were cancelled at O’Hare and Midway airports, with hundreds of motorists stranded on area roadways as snow removal equipment was unable to keep up with the storm’s advance.

Activities continue at the Midwinter Conference under way at the Hyatt Regency O’Hare hotel where hundreds of pastors are participating in educational workshops, worship services and other affinity group sessions. The conference will conclude following the Friday morning breakfast.

Those interested in viewing the live broadcast of tonight’s worship service can log into the service through a link to be found on the Covenant website home page. The service begins at 7 p.m. CST. Previous services, including morning sessions, can be downloaded for viewing at any time or viewed via streaming video.

I enjoyed listening to the speakers. I felt like when my pastor gets back, I will feel a little of his excitement. It was GREAT! Thanks.
