CHICAGO, IL (August 27, 2010) – The decommissioning service for the building that houses the Evangelical Covenant Church offices at 5101 North Francisco Avenue will be webcast live on Monday beginning at 3 p.m. CDT.

A time capsule that has been placed in the building’s cornerstone in 1947 will be opened as part of the service.

All interested individuals are welcome to attend the service in person, with a special invitation to anyone who worked in the building during its 63 years of service.

Covenant offices will relocate to a six-story building at 8303 West Higgins Road in Chicago, located near the Cumberland exit off Interstate 90 (Kennedy Expressway). The building has been refurbished and will bear the Covenant name at the top of the structure—white lettering against a deep blue background.

The move will take place over a three-day period, September 10-12, with employees reporting for work at the new facility on Monday morning, September 13.
