Condon Appointed to East Coast Conference Position

CHICAGO, IL (June 26, 2010) – Jason R. Condon, an Evangelical Covenant Church (ECC) pastor from New York State, has been appointed to serve as associate superintendent for the East Coast Conference, it was announced today.

In his new role, Condon will direct church planting and manage congregational vitality ministries, says Superintendent Howard K. Burgoyne.

Condon is concluding his service as co-planting pastor of Artisan Covenant Church in Rochester, New York, where he has served since 2005. He also serves on the ECC Church Planting Training Team as technical director. Prior to planting Artisan, Condon served as pastor of Capax Dei, described as a “church within a church” that was adopted into the Covenant to become known as Artisan.

He has also served as associate pastor for young adults and media ministries at CrossBridge Community Church (2000-2003), as lead pastor/planter of New Vision Community Church (1996-2000), and served on staff at two Nazarene congregations in the 1990’s. He was born and raised in Presque Isle, Maine.

Condon earned a Mater of Divinity degree from Northeastern Seminary in Rochester and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Religion & Youth Ministry from Eastern Nazarene College. Earlier he pursued engineering studies at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He is being ordained to Word and Sacrament during the 125th Annual Meeting currently in progress in St. Paul, Minnesota.

Condon and his wife, Lisa, have two children, a son, Jaron, and a daughter, Bryn. He will assume his new duties in August.
