I was encouraged by\u00a0the depth of conversation I witnessed and the willingness to be vulnerable with one another in the sharing of personal stories and experiences.\u00a0However, one day together engaging in such conversations is not enough &#8211;\u00a0the work has just begun.\u00a0Please hold us in your prayers as we continue to:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<ul>\n<li>engage in relationship and community building activities to move toward true community across ethnic and racial lines<\/li>\n<li>explore racial and ethnic injustices that exist in our society<\/li>\n<li>identify action steps for change, both personally and as a community<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/ul>\n<p>May each of us continue striving toward the kingdom vision reflected in Revelation 7:9-12 (NRSV):<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>After this I looked, and there was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, robed in white, with palm branches in their hands.\u00a0They cried out in a loud voice, saying, \u201cSalvation belongs to our God who is seated on the throne, and to the Lamb!\u201d\u00a0And all the angels stood around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures, and they fell on their faces before the throne and worshiped God,\u00a0singing, \u201cAmen! Blessing and glory and wisdom and thanksgiving and honor and power and might be to our God forever and ever!
