That\u2019s right. <strong><em>Heartfelt Worship.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/wc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/40\/2015\/03\/ECC-Worship-2.jpg\" rel=\"prettyPhoto[3097]\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-3098\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/wc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/40\/2015\/03\/ECC-Worship-2-300x208.jpg\" alt=\"ECC Worship 2\" width=\"300\" height=\"208\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/wc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/40\/2015\/03\/ECC-Worship-2-300x208.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/wc\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/40\/2015\/03\/ECC-Worship-2.jpg 655w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>I give you thanks, O Lord, with my whole heart&#8230; (Psalm 138:1a)<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>But the hour is coming, and is now here, when true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him. (John 4:23)<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Last fall, the Worship Commission sat down with President Gary Walter to hear his vision &amp; mission for Covenant worship overall. We were encouraged to keep pursuing <strong>heartfelt worship<\/strong> because <em>\u201clocal church worship provides <strong>pathways<\/strong> for the hearts.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<p>As a result we have been able to reframe the <strong>Core Values of Covenant Worship<\/strong>:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p><em>\u201cWhen Covenanters worship, we <strong>celebrate God\u2019s story<\/strong> through expressions <strong>rooted in our culture<\/strong>. Our worship creates a sense of <strong>intimacy<\/strong> with both God and one another and forms us into a <strong>community of disciples<\/strong> of Christ.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Encouraged, we will launch a series of blogs that include the voices of familiar and new Covenant worship leaders to encourage your hearts too.
