{"id":826,"date":"2016-02-10T14:57:30","date_gmt":"2016-02-10T18:57:30","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/smith\/?p=826"},"modified":"2016-02-10T14:57:30","modified_gmt":"2016-02-10T18:57:30","slug":"what-in-the-world-is-cfdz","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/smith\/?p=826","title":{"rendered":"What in the world is CFDZ ???"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Welcome to our blog!<\/strong> \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 <strong>CFDZ<\/strong>\u00a0comes from French for <strong>Centre de Formation des Disciples a Zulu<\/strong> which we translate into English: \u00a0<span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>ZULU Discipleship Center<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>For all who are new (&amp; for those who are not, but may have forgotten) our last term in D.R.Congo we were thrilled to be able to open this center on the old Zulu Camp property. \u00a0<strong>CFDZ<\/strong> is a place where families come to live in community, committing themselves to learn what it means to be Christ&#8217;s disciples for a period of approx. 2 years. \u00a0In those 2 years they live in accountability with other families to God&#8217;s Word and to the Director Couple: Etienne and Marie PASI. \u00a0As a community, they daily worship, study God&#8217;s Word, share meals, clean up, and do all the Center&#8217;s project tasks together.
