This position oversees all operations of CWR, which serves as an international humanitarian aid and development arm of the Evangelical Covenant Church, assisting the “poorest of the poor” by offering relief and implementing rehabilitation and development initiatives. The position reports to the executive minister of the Department of Compassion, Mercy and Justice.
Not only are qualified candidates asked to apply for the position, but individuals also are being invited to recommend the names of people they believe would make good candidates.
Responsibilities include developing strategic directions, overseeing all operational aspects, fund-raising and marketing/promotion, establishing and maintaining CWR partnerships; and educating and mobilizing individuals and local churches in North America, among other duties.
Qualifications include a master’s degree or equivalent, four to 10 years of related experience and/or training, the ability to travel internationally and domestically for at least 40 percent of the time, demonstrated administrative experience, various computer-related skills, and personal Christian faith and involvement in a local church.
The successful candidate must have a commitment to the mission of the Evangelical Covenant Church and the purposes of the Department of Compassion, Mercy, and Justice.
