said one of the women in Fangok. \u00a0&#8220;I remember your visit when you stayed with the commissioner [in 2009]. \u00a0Only James has come back since then, but now you have returned. \u00a0I am very encouraged.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Another woman commented, &#8220;Thank you for coming. \u00a0Your visit is your gift to us&#8230;.Pray for peace to continue.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Precious comments by members of the Fangok Covenant Church during the welcome for us. \u00a0After two days of casting a vision for Community Health Evangelism (CHE) in Malakal and discussions with the leadership of the Evangelical Covenant Church of South Sudan (ECCSS) we spent our last full day on a river trip to Fangok. \u00a0We took a speed boat about 3 hours up the White Nile from Malakal.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_2249\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2013\/11\/Oubel-welcoming-party-800x600.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2249\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-2249\" alt=\"Oubel welcoming party [800x600]\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2013\/11\/Oubel-welcoming-party-800x600-300x225.jpg\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/ekstrand\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2013\/11\/Oubel-welcoming-party-800x600-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/ekstrand\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2013\/11\/Oubel-welcoming-party-800x600.jpg 800w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-2249\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Choirs greeting us at Oubel<\/p><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Along the way we stopped for a brief greeting at Oubel. \u00a0Their choirs were waiting alongside the river to greet us.<\/p>\n<p>When visitors are greeting by the ECCSS the first order of business is always washing their feet. \u00a0We would have two and even three women at a time working to wash our feet and ankles and calves up to the knee. \u00a0The cool water feels good. \u00a0Then they would pull our arms forward and wash them. \u00a0We have even had our faces washed. \u00a0That does feel different to have someone else washing your face.<\/p>\n<div id=\"attachment_2247\" style=\"width: 310px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/12\/2013\/11\/feet-washing-Cindy-John-800x600.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-2247\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-2247\" alt=\"feet washing, Cindy &amp;
