Thank you for praying for the visa interviews for the Congolese delegation. Three people received visas yesterday. They were Sabuli Sanguma, Precieux Sanguma and Dr. Aime. The 5 other people were denied visas. This was discouraging news for everyone.
We tried talking with the Consul later yesterday afternoon, but after waiting for 45 minutes, we were told that he was busy with other work and it wasn’t possible to talk with him. We will return to the Embassy on Friday morning to talk to the Consul. We want to gain a better understanding of what the Congolese delegation can do to improve their chances to receive visas. They already have interviews scheduled for next Tuesday, May 5.
