{"id":1170,"date":"2011-07-13T00:18:55","date_gmt":"2011-07-13T04:18:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/delp\/?p=1170"},"modified":"2011-07-13T00:18:55","modified_gmt":"2011-07-13T04:18:55","slug":"delp-family-medical-updates","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/delp\/?p=1170","title":{"rendered":"Delp Family Medical Updates"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We know many of you have been praying for Ruth and Earl, Joel&#8217;s mother and father, and their recent medical concerns, so we wanted to provide a little bit of an update to let you know what has been happening with them.<\/p>\n<p>Only July 6th, Earl had a hip replacement performed and everything went smoothly. \u00a0He was done with the surgery in 1 hour and 45 minutes. \u00a0This time he was out the hospital within two days and has had pretty much no complications. \u00a0He is still experiencing quite a bit of pain and discomfort but very little as what could be. \u00a0He is moving around the house on crutches and everyday there is progress in his mobility and recovery. \u00a0Thank you so much for you prayers!<\/p>\n<p>We received an email today from Ruthie and this is what she had to say: &#8220;I had my third VitaStim treatment today. \u00a0I ended up swallowing about 5 ounces of water, a 1\/2 teaspoon at a time at intervals. \u00a0It is going to take a while, hopefully I can keep progressing.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Praise the Lord! \u00a0Though it is not a large quantity, nor with great ease, through the electric stimulus treatment, she has begun swallowing!!! \u00a0Praise the Lord! \u00a0Please continue to pray that this will continue to get better and better as she continues the treatment.<\/p>\n<p>Again, thank you all so very much for your prayers. \u00a0We know that God is alive and at work in the lives of Joel&#8217;s parents.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-report-this\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/delp?moderation_action=report_form&object_type=post&object_id=1170&width=250&height=300\" class=\"thickbox\" title=\"Report This Post\">Report This Post<\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We know many of you have been praying for Ruth and Earl, Joel&#8217;s mother and father, and their recent medical concerns, so we wanted to provide a little bit of an update to let you know what has been happening with them.
