We have been officially in \u201clockdown\u201d in South Africa for 2 weeks now and look to another 3 weeks, meaning we are not to step foot outside of our yards except for going for groceries or medication.\u00a0 Not even for jogging down our own road or walking our dogs.\u00a0 All non-essential businesses and stores have been shut down. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0We are so thankful to be living on a 25 acre farm, 4 households in total; our farm owner\/buddies Lynn & Gary, the farm manager Zweli and his family of 4, our son Sam and his family of 4, and the 2 of us.\u00a0 We have plenty of room to run and play, as do, thankfully, the 11 dogs, 4 cats, and 2 horses.\u00a0 The 3 guys who normally come to work on the farm daily are hunkered down in their own homes off the farm, so there is plenty of opportunity to pitch in and help with the farm work.\u00a0 Last week and again this week to come we will be picking macadamias.\u00a0 Roy is busy keeping up with a lot of the normal work, including watering, which recently entailed repairing broken irrigation pipe fittings.<\/p>\n

CAR is one of the least developed countries in the world and is currently in continual crisis (since the coup in March 2013), so reaching out in compassion is key to reaching their hearts.
