Leaving our little South African family was easier this time, knowing we’ll see at least Sam, Anna, Elaina, and Sawyer, and our stateside loved ones soon – in July when we head off for vacation in the U.S.<\/p>\n

We managed to squeeze in lots of “lasts”.\u00a0 Last day at the beach, last meal at a favorite restaurant, last games, last BBQ, last taste of one of Roy’s weird fruits, etc.\u00a0 All these last times are super memories and we call ourselves blessed.\"\"<\/a>
\n<\/a>\"\"<\/a>\"\"<\/a>We rest assured that our kids and dear friends are in the Lord’s hands, and we’re thrilled to have been able to live and work and play alongside them.\u00a0 We’re excited about Anna’s nearing completion on her master’s degree and Sam’s ongoing ministry at Titus garage, enabling young men in technical skills and spiritual growth.\u00a0 Sawyer and Elaina are doing well in school with plenty of friends. We leave our farm family in a place of joy and peace, though not without its challenges!

We are establishing relationships with the local people groups through compassion ministries; Roy through agriculture and Aleta through public health and visitation, in order, ultimately, to share the good news of Jesus the Messiah with them. CAR is one of the least developed countries in the world and is currently in continual crisis (since the coup in March 2013), so reaching out in compassion is key to reaching their hearts.
