Our grandson, Sawyer, and I both celebrated birthdays this month. \u00a0Sawyer chose wild and crazy (he’s the one with the goggles)\"blog<\/a><\/p>\n

and I chose shopping – first at an amazing farmer’s market with a marvelous view over a gorge
\n\"blog<\/a><\/p>\n

and then on to the mall. \u00a0Yes, don’t let the nature picture fool you, I chose to go window shopping in a huge mall, I ate yummy green curry for lunch, and we all\u00a0went home tired and happy. \u00a0The main thing in common with our two choices, though, was that we did it with family and friends. \u00a0What could be better, than to celebrate with loved ones? \u00a0I got a bit overwhelmed as I read emails and facebook messages, feeling so very cared for, knowing that the Lord has blessed me beyond expectation. \u00a0I am a rich woman, gifted with family and friends, health and strength, and the best present of all, God’s grace.<\/p>\n

We are establishing relationships with the local people groups through compassion ministries; Roy through agriculture and Aleta through public health and visitation, in order, ultimately, to share the good news of Jesus the Messiah with them. CAR is one of the least developed countries in the world and is currently in continual crisis (since the coup in March 2013), so reaching out in compassion is key to reaching their hearts.
