Yesterday (Saturday) we missionaries spent the day in prayer, focusing on the different ministries with a big emphasis on troubles at the hospital, and then praying for each individual. We shared in communion, and our time together was sweet and much needed. We even were able to pray for Jim Hocking (ICDI) and his family when he popped in on our meeting for a few minutes. He just lost his brother to a sudden death from an aneurysm. At the end of the afternoon, our head of the hospital, Dr. Wane, met with us to ask our help in trying to get the hospital back on a sure footing, financially. Dr. Wane asked for this meeting not knowing about our prayer time! God is big, and we want to be part of his plan!<\/p>\n

We are establishing relationships with the local people groups through compassion ministries; Roy through agriculture and Aleta through public health and visitation, in order, ultimately, to share the good news of Jesus the Messiah with them. CAR is one of the least developed countries in the world and is currently in continual crisis (since the coup in March 2013), so reaching out in compassion is key to reaching their hearts.
