Ministers Tax Guide Available

CHICAGO, IL (February 22, 2012) – The Minister’s Guide for 2011 Income Tax by Conrad Teitell is available for free from the Covenant Bookstore. A minimal shipping and handling fee will apply. The 72-page guide is available on a first-come, first-serve basis. Taxes are due April 17 this year.

Dental Professionals Needed for Appalachia Trip

MUSKEGON, MI (February 22, 2012) – Spaces are available for the Forest Park Covenant Church annual dental mission trip to the Kentucky Mountain Mission in Beattyville, Kentucky. Professionals from around the country have shared their skills on previous trips.

Dentists, dental hygienists, and dental assistants are needed for the trip, which will take place April 13-17. Participants will need a charitable license that is obtained through the Kentucky Board of Nursing.

Ravenswood Covenant to Celebrate 125 Years

CHICAGO, IL (February 22, 2012) – Ravenswood Covenant Church will celebrate its 125th Anniversary April 20-22.

At 7:15 p.m. Friday, former associate pastor Paul Bengston will lead an “Old-Fashioned Homecoming Hymn Sing” with Karen Bruchman at the piano. At 5:30 p.m. Saturday, a reception will be held, followed by a dinner at 6:30 p.m. Pastor Phil Staurseth will lead the Sunday morning worship service at 10:45 a.m. Former ministers also will participate.

Anyone wishing to attend the Saturday night dinner is asked to call the church office as soon as possible at 773-784-7091.

The church was formed in 1887, less than two years after the denomination.
