IRON RIVER, MI (November 21, 2010) – A service of celebration will be conducted Wednesday morning for 59-year-old Chuck Frasier, director of Covenant Point Bible Camp, who died Thursday of an apparent heart attack suffered while deer hunting.

Visitation will be observed on Tuesday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Jacobs Funeral Home in Iron River. The celebration service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Grace Covenant Church.

He was born August 25, 1951, in Wichita, Kansas. The son of Wallace and Garnet (Korn) Frasier, he completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Cincinnati and his graduate studies at Michigan State University.

Frasier married Jane Brink on May 26, 1979, in Hudsonville, Michigan. After three years working in Sudan, they moved to the Iron River area in 1984. He served as camp director for 26 years.

A search began for Frasier last Thursday after he failed to return to the camp, according to Bill Fish, director of ministry. Staff members found him around 6:30 p.m.

He leaves behind his wife, Jane, and two adult children.

It is suggested that memorial gifts be directed to Covenant Point Bible Camp.
