The service will take place at Berryhill Funeral Chapel in Huntsville, Alabama.
Nordstrom was born January 3, 1928, in Duluth, Minnesota. He graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor of Science degree in social studies and earned a Master of Divinity degree at Bethel Theological Seminary. He also received a Doctor of Ministry degree in family, child, and marital counseling from Fuller Theological Seminary.
He married his wife, Dorothy, on June 9, 1950.
Nordstrom was ordained in 1971. He served First Covenant Church in River Falls, Wisconsin; Orange Covenant Church in Orange, California, and was director of counseling at North Park College in Chicago, Illinois.
In addition to his wife, Jan, survivors include children Kathleen (Mark) Kelly of Duluth, Minnesota; Kristine (Gordon) Adell of Chicago, Illinois; Karen (Mark) Hutchison of Morton, Illinois; Jonathan (Catherine) Nordstrom of Memphis, Tennessee; and Jayson (Krystyna) Nordstrom of Chicago, Illinois.
