{"id":727,"date":"2011-05-04T13:23:14","date_gmt":"2011-05-04T18:23:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/ziegelbaur\/?p=727"},"modified":"2011-05-05T05:08:16","modified_gmt":"2011-05-05T10:08:16","slug":"may-2011-prayer-update","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/ziegelbaur\/?p=727","title":{"rendered":"May 2011 Prayer Update"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>He is risen indeed!\u00a0 Do you know Him, and the power of His resurrection?\u00a0 That same power that brought life where there was death brings spiritual life where there was death every day!\u00a0 Praise God!<\/p>\n<p>Praise God for these blessings in April:<\/p>\n<p>1.\u00a0 <a title=\"Sharon's blog\" href=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/davis\" target=\"_blank\">Sharon Davis<\/a>, short term missionary for community development, arrived April 2nd.\u00a0 It has been a pleasure getting her oriented to life and ministry here.\u00a0 God seems to pave the way before her as she meets key people and makes great connections in the missionary community and among Cameroonians.<\/p>\n<p>2.\u00a0 The cholera epidemic is subsiding.\u00a0 The city water is back on and smelling of chlorine, so they must have cleaned the system well.<\/p>\n<p>3.\u00a0 Praise God for protection.\u00a0 There have been no new robberies in recent weeks.<\/p>\n<p>Pray with us for these things coming up in May:<\/p>\n<p>1.\u00a0 <a title=\"Danforth's blog\" href=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/danforth\/\" target=\"_blank\">Roy and Aleta Danforth<\/a>, serving in Central African Republic, will be leaving Africa on May 13 via Yaounde for their time of home assignment in the US.\u00a0 Pray for uncomplicated travel and for a good time of connecting with ministry partners and family members.<\/p>\n<p>2.\u00a0<a title=\"Noren's blog\" href=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/psnoren\/\" target=\"_blank\"> Sheryl Noren<\/a> has been in the USA since April 20 meeting final requirements to obtain her EMT license, without which she would not be able to work in Congolese hospitals.\u00a0 Pray that she will soon obtain the license and be able to return to Africa and meet up with Paul again.<\/p>\n<p>3.\u00a0 <a title=\"Stoker's blog\" href=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/jcstoker\/\" target=\"_blank\">Jeff &amp; Carolyn Stoker<\/a>, serving here in Yaounde, \u00a0will spend some time May 3-17\u00a0in California for their daughter Beth\u2019s graduation from College.\u00a0 Pray for safe timely travel and a good celebration with Beth.<\/p>\n<p>4.\u00a0 I, Janet, am learning more about the umbrella organization, Evangelical Covenant International Partners (ECIP) under which we work here in Cameroon and my role in it.\u00a0 I need to work on preparation and update of some documents for this organization.\u00a0 Pray for clear understanding of what is needed.<\/p>\n<p>5.\u00a0 Please pray for the husband of a Cameroonian friend of mine.\u00a0 He is a first generation Christian and seems to have a greater fear of his family\u2019s false gods and traditions than he has a fear of God.\u00a0 Pray that he will be delivered from the bondage to these gods and the traditions they have imposed on his family for centuries.\u00a0 Pray that through my friend he and his family will experientially know the resurrection power of Jesus Christ and find new LIFE in Him.<\/p>\n<p>6.\u00a0 The 13 year old daughter of one of the men who works with Ron (in maintenance at RFIS) died from sickle cell anemia on Saturday morning April 30.\u00a0 Please pray for Ernest and his family as they grieve their loss.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Thank you for praying for and with us.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-report-this\"><a href=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/ziegelbaur?moderation_action=report_form&object_type=post&object_id=727&width=250&height=300\" class=\"thickbox\" title=\"Report This Post\">Report This Post<\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>He is risen indeed!\u00a0 Do you know Him, and the power of His resurrection?\u00a0 That same power that brought life where there was death brings spiritual life where there was death every day!\u00a0 Praise God!
