Schoolers went away on a retreat and the Middle Schoolers did different activities at school each day.\u00a0 Both had great speakers.\u00a0 And God moved in the lives of the students.\u00a0 First time committments and re-dedications to Christ happened.\u00a0 To God be great glory!<\/div>\n<figure id=\"attachment_666\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-666\" style=\"width: 396px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/42\/2011\/02\/PRS-Rainbow-chapel.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-666\" title=\"PRS class=\"wp-caption-text\">PRS students learn from the life of Timothy in chapel during Spiritual Emphasis Week<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Meanwhile, the (K-6)\u00a0students at the Parent Run School (PRS)\u00a0had Spiritual Emphasis Week too.\u00a0 While we still were in class, we began each day with chapel consisting of a time for singing, for listening and for sharing.\u00a0 We learned about Timothy and the key verse was 1Tim 4:12 &#8220;Don&#8217;t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.&#8221;\u00a0 We looked at ways to be an example for those older and younger.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_652\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-652\" style=\"width: 414px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/42\/2011\/02\/PRS-Rainbow-pre-pray.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-652\" title=\"PRS Rainbow pre-pray\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/42\/2011\/02\/PRS-Rainbow-pre-pray.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"414\" height=\"282\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-652\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Praying for our trip to Rainbow Innovative School<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>And on Thursday we went on a field trip to put into practise &#8220;setting an example to the believers&#8221; in\u00a0a new Cameroonian Christian school called Rainbow Innovative School.\u00a0 Before leaving we gathered in front of our school for prayer.\u00a0 It was precious to hear the students (and staff) commit the day to the Lord.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_662\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-662\" style=\"width: 233px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/42\/2011\/02\/PRS-Rainbow-directors.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-662\" title=\"PRS Rainbow directors\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/42\/2011\/02\/PRS-Rainbow-directors.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"233\" height=\"275\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-662\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Patience, Rainbow director and Mary Santos, director of Parent Run School<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Patience Malone, director of Rainbow School is amazing woman.\u00a0 The mother an RFIS student friend of Michelle &amp; Nathan&#8217;s, she not only runs this Christian school but\u00a0also a restaurant adjacent to the school.\u00a0 Last year the school opened with just 15 students; this year there are around 50 (many pre-schoolers), and next year she expects over 100!<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_653\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-653\" style=\"width: 317px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/42\/2011\/02\/PRS-Rainbow-presentations.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-653\" title=\"PRS Rainbow presentations\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/42\/2011\/02\/PRS-Rainbow-presentations.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"317\" height=\"212\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-653\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Rainbow students sharing a song<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u00a0After initial greeting and a snack in the play yard, we all went up to a large classroom where we took turns sharing songs, verses, skits; it was true culture and educational exchange.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_654\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-654\" style=\"width: 320px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/42\/2011\/02\/PRS-Rainbow-book-donation.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-654\" title=\"PRS Rainbow book donation\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/42\/2011\/02\/PRS-Rainbow-book-donation.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"320\" height=\"331\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-654\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Mrs. Malone&#39;s hands overflowing with books donated to Rainbow School<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Each of our students had brought a book to donate to the school.\u00a0 Since the Rainbow library consists of maybe 15 books, they appreciated getting new books &#8211; as evidenced by the smile on\u00a0Mrs. Malone&#8217;s\u00a0face.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_656\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-656\" style=\"width: 332px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a reads to Rainbow students<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Then we divided the kids into 2 groups.\u00a0 One group played organized games in the play yard, while the other group paired up to read together.\u00a0 Ben stepped outside his comfort zone to read (to a couple of the older boys)\u00a0the book about whales that he brought to donate to the school.<\/p>\n<p>And then they switched so those reading went out for games and those who had played games went inside to read.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_657\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-657\" style=\"width: 349px\" class=\"wp-caption alignnone\"><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/42\/2011\/02\/PRS-Rainbow-games-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-657\" title=\"PRS Rainbow games 1\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/42\/2011\/02\/PRS-Rainbow-games-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"349\" height=\"208\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-657\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Playing games together (bounce the ball on sheets)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>\u00a0And when it was lunch time, we were treated to a gormet meal at Mrs. Malone&#8217;s restaurant.\u00a0 On the other side of the building, tables were set in the yard with cloth linens, beautiful plates, and\u00a0Rainbow&#8217;s teachers became servers.\u00a0<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_658\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-658\" style=\"width: 340px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/42\/2011\/02\/PRS-Rainbow-lunch-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-658\" title=\"PRS Rainbow lunch 1\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/42\/2011\/02\/PRS-Rainbow-lunch-1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"340\" height=\"278\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-658\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Tables set in the yard for lunch<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>We were treated to rotisserie chicken, french fries, pizza, vegetable beef stir fry and fried plantains.\u00a0 And for dessert we had brought a variety of cookies and bars to share.\u00a0 We kept asking if they eat like that every day &#8230; and the only answer we got was &#8220;we always eat together.&#8221;\u00a0 I&#8217;m willing to guess their school\u00a0lunches beat our typical\u00a0brown bag lunches at PRS.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_659\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-659\" style=\"width: 422px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/42\/2011\/02\/PRS-Rainbow-lunch-2.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-659\" title=\"PRS Rainbow lunch 2\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/42\/2011\/02\/PRS-Rainbow-lunch-2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"422\" height=\"293\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-659\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Rainbow teachers served up a gormet meal<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Before going home we had free time to play together.\u00a0 Teachers chatted, and we were all taking pictures like crazy.\u00a0 It was an excellent experience for students as well as staff.\u00a0 We decided we have to do it again &#8212; next time Rainbow will come to PRS to visit.\u00a0 This may be the start of a beautiful new
