Drama Evangelism outreach at an RFIS Basketball Tournament<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

Drama is an effective means of communicating the Good News of Jesus.<\/p>\n

Drama Evangelism is an extra-curricular activity that students may participate in at RFIS. \u00a0The students, led by a couple of staff members, do outreach at sports events, in churches, schools and neighborhoods.<\/p>\n

This month they had the privilege of going to villages of the Baka people outside of the city to the east of Yaounde over a weekend.<\/p>\n

After lunch on a Thursday, after praying together for safe travels and effective ministry, the team piled into the van and drove off. \u00a0Prayer had been a big part of the preparation for this trip. \u00a0The villages they went to are known among evangelists as one of the most challenging places spiritually.<\/p>\n

The Baka people are pygmies who live mainly in forest areas. \u00a0They are taken advantage of by pretty much every other people group. \u00a0What good news to learn that God loves them and that Jesus died to set them free from the power of sin, Satan and the spirits who enslave them.<\/p>\n

Jesus had prepared the way; the students returned with reports of great interactions between them and the people. \u00a0The Christians who have been working and witnessing Christ among them report that the drama outreach has continuing impact as the message of Christ sinks in. \u00a0Thankfully there are portions of Scripture available in the Baka language, both recorded and in writing.<\/p>\n

Please pray for courage to trust in Jesus and to renounce the spirits of the ancestors. \u00a0Pray for the Christians who live and work among them. \u00a0Pray for other outreach events scheduled during the school year.<\/p>\n
