Sometimes our home in Yaounde feels like Grand Central Station!\u00a0 And we love it.<\/p>\n

Within the walls of our compound is not only our house but a duples: one side serves as a guest house, the other is for storage.\u00a0 So when missionary and African friends we’ve known in Congo or Central African Republic are passing through the big city, we host them, we store stuff for them, we help them get to and from the international airport, and hold mail for those who have a Yaounde mailing\u00a0address but don’t live in Yaounde.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Recently we hosted missionary friends who were in town from Congo and Central African Republic.\u00a0 We stored supplies that had been purchased here for the ministry in Central African Republic until our pastor friend was able to come pick them up.\u00a0 And currently we’re holding on to a very heavy suitcase of seminary books for a Congolese pastor who has been studying in Yaounde.\u00a0 When there’s an opportunity to send them (all or in part) to Congo, we’ll make that connection for him.\u00a0<\/div>\n

Anytime a truck leaves Yaounde we fill it to the max<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

\u00a0The logistical assistance we give\u00a0is not exactly in our job description, and\u00a0may not\u00a0seem like ministry.\u00a0 But the support we give others enables them to carry out their God-given tasks.\u00a0\u00a0It is a priviledge to serve our missionary and African colleagues and friends.\u00a0 So we don’t really mind if, at times, our home feels like Grand Central Station.<\/p><\/div>\n
