HAPPY NEW YEAR
\nMay the Lord bless you richly as you seek him with all your heart.<\/span><\/p>\n


\nThank you for praying us through 2009.\u00a0 In many ways it was a challenging year for us.\u00a0\u00a0Ron worked out of state for the first 8 months.\u00a0 We’re unemployed since September (except occasional temp work I, Janet, am able to do).\u00a0 We’re getting used to some new policies with Covenant World Mission, and learning new ways to trust God to provide ministry partners to enable us to return to serve in Africa.\u00a0 The Lord is faithful and the ministry team is growing.\u00a0 Praise God with us that we now have 30% of our needed\u00a0support (see “Donate” page).\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Praises:<\/span><\/p>\n

1.\u00a0 We have much to be thankful for – a home, 2 cars (and a mechanic husband to fix them as needed!), good school for our kids, good health for us all, and medical\/dental insurance through Covenant World Mission.\u00a0
\n<\/span>
\n2.\u00a0 In December<\/span> we enjoyed many gatherings with family, friends, and missionary family.\u00a0 <\/span>The first Saturday of the month we were pleased to host nearly 50 of the George family (Janet\u2019s side \u2013 4 generations!).\u00a0 We spent Christmas Eve and New Years Eve with our dear missionary colleagues (and practically family) Paul & Sheryl Noren and family.\u00a0 On Christmas Day we hosted the Norens as well as Paul\u2019s sister\u2019s family the Janice & Steve Quakenbush (Wycliffe missionaries living in GR), including their adult children who were \u201chome\u201d for the Holidays.<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0 And most of all, we are thankful for Jesus, author and finisher of our faith and the opportunity to celebrate his birth!<\/span><\/p>\n

4.\u00a0 For January<\/span>, we’re thankful for a full\u00a0schedule of visits with supporting churches, and are filling up the calendar with more \u2013 if you would like us to come to your church or small group, please contact us soon.<\/span><\/p>\n

Requests:<\/span><\/p>\n

1.\u00a0 Please pray for safe travels as we visit churches in Grand Rapids (Thornapple Covenant) and Traverse City (West Bay Covenant), MI.
\n<\/span>
\n2.\u00a0 Ron will go to the Covenant Midwinter Conference in CO Jan. 25-28, and then visit churches in Tulsa, OK (Redeemer Covenant) Jan. 31 and Ogilvie, MN (Lewis Lake Covenant) Feb. 7 on his way home.
\n\u00a0
\n3.\u00a0 Please pray with us for more visits to be\u00a0scheduled in Kansas, Minnesota\u00a0and “out East”.<\/span><\/p>\n
