And now for another story on what keeps Ron busily happy in his ministry at Rain Forest International School (RFIS) as the Director of Technical Services.\u00a0 Fifth story:\u00a0 teaching Small Engines Class.<\/p>\n

Ron's small engine class<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

\u00a0This semester Ron’s been teaching a small engine course.\u00a0 His students got to take apart a small engine, take it apart and start it.\u00a0 They worked on a motorcycle’s carborator.. then they got to ride the motorcycle.\u00a0 Ron gave the students some small engines that were not working, and gave them the challenge to figure out what’s wrong with it.\u00a0<\/p>\n

Driving Practise.<\/p>\n

The last week of class, Ron gave his students a small course in driving.\u00a0 Then he let them drive our van around the campus during class time.\u00a0 Parallel parking became a lesson in getting unstuck from the mud – a valuable lesson for those living in rural Africa.<\/p>\n

Ron got in the driver’s seat to demonstrate rocking back and forth, while the guys pushed.<\/div>\n

But the front wheel was too deep.\u00a0 So, lacking a shovel,\u00a0Lyle grabbed a sticck to try to dig the front wheel out.<\/div>\n
\u00a0<\/div>\n
\"\"<\/a><\/div>\n
\u00a0By this time I had to go.\u00a0 But as I walked away, Ron was getting a tractor to pull the van out of the mud.\u00a0 Class was nearly over and they were out of time to dig anymore — besides, it was chapel day and not nice (to their moms)\u00a0to make them get their chapel clothes muddy.<\/div>\n
