2012 Prayer Updates"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Spring break, Easter celebration, Ben\u2019s last session of FES (the home school cooperative with missionary kids from far and wide), visitors, and ridiculous issues with power and water: what a month!\u00a0 Our electricity has been cut off several times \u2013 but we rely on Him who is All Powerful;\u00a0 the city water has been shut off for days \u2013 but we have life from the Living Water.\u00a0 Still, we\u2019d appreciate prayer for our utilities to be more consistent!\u00a0 Here are more items of praise and prayer.<\/p>\n<p>For April praise God with us:<\/p>\n<p>1.\u00a0 For a refreshing time at the beach in Limbe, Cameroon over spring break.\u00a0 We got to see a part of the country we\u2019d not visited before, and we\u2019re very grateful for safe travels.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>2.\u00a0 That Michelle got over her bout of malaria quite quickly.<\/p>\n<p>3.\u00a0 That much progress continues on the construction of the new UBAC Hostel.\u00a0 Roof is on, door and window frames are in, walls being plastered, and we\u2019re starting to choose floor tiles etc.\u00a0 See details at the Hostel Construction blog. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ubachostelconstruction.blogspot.com\/\">http:\/\/www.ubachostelconstruction.blogspot.com\/<\/a><\/p>\n<p>4.\u00a0 For a good visit from<a href=\"http:\/\/www.covchurch.org\/mission\/jlkerl\/\" target=\"_blank\"> Letha Kerl <\/a>(Regional Coordinator) and Lana Heinrich (short term missions coordinator).\u00a0 Lana was able to see, first hand, <a title=\"Covenant Short Term opportunities\" href=\"http:\/\/www.covchurch.org\/mission\/opportunities\/\" target=\"_blank\">current and potential ministries <\/a>here in Cameroon so she can better advise those considering serving here.<\/p>\n<p>For May Pray with us for:<\/p>\n<p>1.\u00a0 TEACHERS!!!!!\u00a0 \u00a0We are still short several <a title=\"RFIS Teacher Needs\" href=\"http:\/\/www.rfis.org\/index.php\/staffneeds\" target=\"_blank\">teachers for Middle School and High School<\/a>.\u00a0 Many current teachers are either coming up to a furlough year or will complete their short term assignments.\u00a0 Pray for new teachers to come.<\/p>\n<p>2.\u00a0 May is a very busy month for schools everywhere; RFIS is no exception.\u00a0 Pray for preparation of awards ceremonies, banquets, appreciation celebrations for staff, AP exams and preparation for finals.<\/p>\n<p>3. \u00a0For continued progress on the <a title=\"Hostel construction blog\" href=\"http:\/\/ubachostelconstruction.blogspot.com\" target=\"_blank\">UBAC Hostel construction<\/a>.\u00a0 By the end of June we hope to have the hostel moved in to its new location.<\/p>\n<p>4.\u00a0 For<a title=\"Danforth's blog\" href=\"http:\/\/blogs.covchurch.org\/danforth\/\" target=\"_blank\"> Roy and Aleta Danforth <\/a>and new missionaries <a href=\"http:\/\/www.covchurch.org\/mission\/jlshinar\/\" target=\"_blank\">Joshua &amp; Lori Shinar <\/a>who are due to arrive in Yaounde May 22.\u00a0 Danforths will go on to their ministry in Gamboula, CAR while the Shinars will head north in Cameroon for a few weeks of intro to Fulani language and culture in preparation for their ministry in CAR.<\/p>\n<p>5.\u00a0 For 2 men who have been <a href=\"http:\/\/www.facebook.com\/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Femeliemararv.wordpress.com%2F2012%2F05%2F02%2Fdag-43-vad-som-hant-och-hur-laget-ser-ut%2F&amp;h=OAQEPPrnv\" target=\"_blank\">unjustly
